2008 LAY SPEAKER TRAINING

Where: Community United Methodist Church in Butner
When: Saturday, November 1, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.


Classes:

·        One “Basic Lay Speaking” Class (for people attending for the first time). Instructor is Rev. Jack Snyder of Helena UMC.

·        Three Advanced Courses: (1) “Lay Speakers Preach” by Rev. Gene Cobb of Epworth UMC; (2) “Lay Speakers Lead Small Groups” by Mrs. Sherry Harrell of Spring Valley UMC; and (3) “Lay Speakers Interpret to Others Our United Methodist Heritage” by Rev. Karl Neuschaefer of Community UMC.

Cost is $17.00, which includes the student book, lunch, refreshments, and supplies.
